Presentation
At its creation in 2001, the laboratory initially brought together a "young" music and musicology team and a fledgling visual arts team. In 2005, it was expanded to include the performing arts (theatre, cinema, dance) and renamed Laboratory for Contemporary Approaches on Creation and the Artistic Process (Approches contemporaines de la réflexion et de la création artistiques – ACCRA). Its status is that of a research unit: UR 3402. It is attached to the Faculty of Fine Arts (Faculté des arts) and the Doctoral School of Humanities (École doctorale des humanités, ED 520).
Research topics
The Arts Factory (La fabrique des arts)
This programme examines the poetic sphere and the poetic approach. The research addresses the question of the creative process in various artistic fields, and the impact of artistic expression in concrete and symbolic contexts. It highlights two fields of research: poetics and the politics of the arts; research-creation and didactic methodologies in the arts and technology.
The me in action
This programme examines the "modalities of activation" of artistic works and practices in the public space. At a time when digitalisation and globalisation are giving rise to new strategies for dissemination, we analyse their different modes of presentation and representation, and the multiple ways in which they are understood, interpreted and evaluated.
Hybridisations
This program analyses polymorphous works and practices, the fluidity that can exist between the arts, as well as borrowings, re-workings and multiple forms of artistic "nomadism". This study may give rise to various tools forming the basis of new theories of art, making it possible to identify the practical and creative evolutions articulated by these theories.
